Pastoral Educational Training (P.E.T.)

P.E.T. is a ministry that takes learned professionals, pastors, and professors to the two-thirds world local pastors to further train them in areas that will enhance their ministries.

The Lord has shown Jehovah Jireh Ministries that we need to share in the responsibility for training those that have the desire and calling for proclaiming the Gospel. There is no one better to train pastors than their peers. Rather than burden the national pastor with extreme expense to travel to an institution for better training, this program takes the classroom to them. By providing the training in their own land, the local pastor gains first-hand experience in a familiar setting.

In a workshop environment, the local pastors acquaint themselves with others in their area as they learn together in a classroom setting. The workshops are arranged conducive to schedules of the local pastor with no less than two sessions a day for three to five days, depending on the course work. There is also time allowed for the students to converse with the instructor.

In some areas it is possible to schedule evening worship services at the represented churches where the instructor has opportunity to extend the Gospel to the people and to encourage them to be disciples in faith and obedience to Jesus Christ.

The Pastoral Educational Training is offered to two-thirds world pastors at no charge. This encourages the attendance of the local pastors and also enhances their belief in our purpose to serve them for the Kingdom.

There are many pastors around the world who shepherd a church on very little knowledge. Some have no more than a college education - some even less than that - and they lead their congregations by faith, trusting that God will provide the answers they need. Our purpose is to reduce their burden by elevating the level of their education and offering solid Biblical teaching.

This program is funded by contribution.
